Harmless is an additive synthesizer doing subtractive synthesis. Or if you prefer, a subtractive synthesizer powered by an additive synthesis engine.You may ask: why?For several reasons. To begin with, there are too many subtractive synthesizers already, often bragging about being virtual analog. This one is digital, and proud to be. Everything is fake, the tone generator, the filter & its resonance, the phaser, all performed on the harmonics, before partials are computed.Now, how it's synthesized shouldn't matter after all, if the result sounds subtractive. But Harmless is more than a proof of concept, it allows fine control that wouldn't be possible through classic subtractive synthesis. Filtering and phasing can be assigned unusual shapes & slopes, something normally only possible through offline digital filters. Filter slopes can even be defined in Hz instead of octaves. Finally, you get control on each partial's frequency, creating timbres definitely impossible using common synthesis methods.

the ArtsAcoustic Reverb is a high quality reverb for everyday use in a professional studio. this plugin is (unlike the current trend) a highly advanced, but easy to use algorithmic reverb, so no convolution is involved.

why no convolution?
several issues made us believe that there is a need for algorithmic reverbs, such as having full control not only over a few, but all important parameters which are needed to design a room to perfect results.

so what was the aim?
next to the sound of a good reverb, wich was our highest priority of course, it is mostly very important to edit the room/reverb to suit into the given situation. even the smoothest reverb tail is not much of use if it doesn´t fit into the mix. every master has different requests, so the reverb has to give the user the possibility to always do a certain function in the mix.based on our experience this is not too often the case with reverb units whether it´s hard- or software, unless you want to spend a lot of money - of course exceptions tighten the rule.

another focus was the cpu usage.
we think that many plugins eat a lot of cpu, thus complicating the workflow in an unacceptable way. the ArtsAcoustic Reverb is highly optimized to work flawlessly on most processors/vst hosts without eating up your cpu, no matter how hard you tweak it. we created the ArtsAcoustic Reverb to compete with the challenge to reach the highest quality possible with a native plugin that is calculated by the host´s cpu.

While taking the classic “Boom Box” sound as its core, the Lowender expands on the concept in several ways. First, it offers switchable frequency ranges, so that the low end frequencies generated can be selected to fit the program material.

Second, the generated subharmonics pass through a gate tailored for low frequencies, which is useful for cleaning up unwanted bass rumble (e.g. from between kick drum hits in a drum loop).

Third, the Lowender passes the bass material through an output section comprised of an overdrive circuit and a lowpass filter. Driving or compressing the newly generated low frequencies is essential for evening out their dynamics, and will allow them to sit well in a mix. The variable lowpass filter is provided to shave off the higher harmonics of the overdrive and create a smooth low end - or you can leave some of them in, for raspier bass sounds.

MultiLens SoundScape Processor is an advanced stereo filter plug-in.

The plug-in consists of four bandpass filters, which are arranged in parallel in the stereo panorama. Every bandpass filter owns a frequency LFO and a bandwidth LFO which influence the filters characteristic. The combination of the eight LFOs results in an almost randomly sounding output.
